Meet Our Speakers
Meet Antonis Mavropoulos, President of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) as he speaks on “Artificial Intelligence & The Waste Management Industry: New Solutions and New Challenges” at ISWA 2018 in Kuala Lumpur. Antonis has been involved in solid waste management projects for 20 years, in 20 countries and he has completed more than 150 projects. His recent research work deals with the fourth industrial revolution and the transformation of the waste & resources sector, while during the last ten years he has been involved in innovative projects regarding globalization, megacities, mobile apps and the challenge of Internet of Things. Technical Tours
The World Congress will also feature technical tours to sanitary landfills and waste treatment facilities like the Bukit Tagar Sanitary Landfill, located 70kms from Kuala Lumpur, it is designed as a fully engineered level IV landfill with full HDPE membrane liner, leachate collection & treatment systems.
